Happy Endings
Okay, we all know what happened here by now. Prop 8 passed by a margin of 4% That means roughly four hundred thousand more people wanted to ban gay marriage in California than wanted to allow it. Four hundred thousand isn’t a lot, politically speaking. It’s enough, but it’s not a lot. I believe that we can overcome this, we can change this, we will look back 10 or 20 or 30 years from now and wonder what all the fuss was about. Our children’s children will say,”What? Gay marriage wasn’t legal?” with the same surprise as when mine ask, “What? Interracial marriage wasn’t legal?” Don’t stop. Don’t give up hope. I’m continuing to support HRC until things change. And they will. They will. I still want to tell Ethan and Barry’s story, and maybe in 2018 they’ll have something new to say, in the meantime, I urge you not to give up the fight. Donate to HRC, as I will, because IT ISN”T OVER YET. |

As always, they manage to reach a compromise, but this time, the outcome might be in our hands… |
