More Widgets
Okay, testing out the new blogability status… There was a reference in my WordPress for Dummies book about looking at the WordPress Login menu and feeling like Captain Kirk at the helm of the Starship Enterprise…uh…Nope. Not feeling it. I’m thinking that the very least that Captain Kirk was feeling was that he was going to GET somewhere. All I’m seeing is Widget this and Plugin that and Ping! As if I were supposed to understand this.
And it’s not like I’m an idiot. I’ve learned math, which is a kind of like a foreign language, and French, which actually is a foreign language, and to play the piano. So I dunno. I’m feeling a little like Sisyphus here. There’s always something new to shove up that hill, and it isn’t like I’ll ever be one of those people who are content to leave the new-fangled stuff to the young-uns.
Oh bother. Anyway, I have Widgets. They rest companionably on my side bar. Don’t they look splendid? I have added categories, mostly because I just hate that my first post was uncatorized, as if I said something so silly there was no real place to put it. Even the utter confusion category would have been better. I think I need images, and perhaps a video or two to liven things up. To that end, I’m attempting the first ever embed of a YouTube Video into my new blog. I’m feeling shamelessly romantic as well. Hello world! I am completely unmanned by technology!
This is my first WordPress Post. I’m not at all sure what I’m doing. I wrote one earlier, and I sent it through ping, but I think that was my first Ping Post. I apologize for the confusion as I fight my way up the learning curve…
I’m getting a new website, and a new blog at WordPress, but I’m keeping my blog at LJ, simply because LJ is home. (And face it, I fought hard to learn to do that.) In the meantime, I’m putting my head down, and writing a story or two, and when I have something more to say about the work of one Z.A. Maxfield, (c’est moi alors) You will likely find it here!
